One Man’s Meat

One man’s meat is another man’s poison.

Oswald Dykes, English Proverbs (1709)

So speak those in ideologies frozen,

To the followers they have chosen.

To the administration things look bullish.

Not so fast, say critics, do not be foolish.

The numbers don’t mean what you think they do.

They depend on what you’re comparing them too.

Investors say the figures are phoney,

So phoney as to resemble baloney.

Not so , says the Obama administration.

The uninsured show rapid deceleration.

But say critics, at decade cost of $1.7 trillion.

The uninsured will still number 25 million.

And the insured can’t get care out-of-network.

Which is where you go when you need an expert.
